The Tourism Knowledge Center (TKC) is a digital one-stop shop for information and documents pertaining to travel and tourism in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. It serves as a repository of wealth on industry practices and knowledge which can be used as a vital and significant source for business planning, product development, intelligence gathering, and marketing at the enterprise and local government levels.
It advocates the free flow of industry research works and ideas through sharing, cooperation, partnership, and collaboration among tourism practitioners, business enterprises, and national and local governments. It also encourages exchanges through online forum and discussion on any issue and topic affecting travel and tourism.
The TKC’s vision is to be the top-of-mind source of information and knowledge on travel and tourism in the Philippines in particular, and Southeast Asia in general. It aims to: (1) provide the data support needed by tourism stakeholders, (2) assist in local data collection and management, and (3) promote excellence and sustainable tourism.
Policy makers/legislators, national and local governments, tourist administrators and site managers, investors/business owners, schools and academic institutions, professors/teachers, and students will find the resources in the TKC useful in their various undertakings and purposes, most especially on policy and legislation, destination management, benchmarking, and driving investments and productivity.
