4th Travel Talk Event | Shake It Off or Take It On: Operationalizing the Green Tomorrow

The Rajah Tourism Knowledge Center (TKC) resumed its 4th Travel Talk Event for tourism students, professors, and industry stakeholders on September 28, 2023 – Thursday from 08:00AM to 12:00NN at the Far Eastern University – Manila Campus. This event aimed to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, ideas, information, and opinions among academic, tourism professionals, and industry practitioners pertaining to current developments, trends, challenges, and opportunities in the tourism industry.
The Travel Talk is a hybrid event that gathered face-to-face/onsite participants complemented with a livestream broadcast of the event through the chosen digital platforms. With this medium, we seek to widen the reach and share information beyond the event walls to more tourism and hospitality academe stakeholders and industry partners.
The theme for the 4th Travel Talk, "Shake It Off or Take It On: Operationalizing the Green Tomorrow" is based on the book published by one of Rajah TKC’s pioneer partners, the Asian Institute of Management – Dr. Andrew L. Tan Center for Tourism, entitled: “PEOPLE PLANET PROFIT: PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM” which discusses important considerations and circumstances that beset the tourism stakeholders relative to sustainable tourism.
As Rajah TKC relaunches the Travel Talk, the PEOPLE PLANET PROFIT will be the overarching theme for the upcoming three (3) Travel Talk events that will serve as the venue to facilitate discussions for a call to action in operationalizing the concepts and encourage the sharing of best practices among industry stakeholders.
